Overview

“Self-awareness and self-efficacy” allow you to know yourself and keep developing. Self-awareness includes the capacity to think about and see yourself through the eyes of others, to reflect on your development needs, aspirations, and wants in the short, medium, and long term.

This capability encompasses the identification and assessment of your individual and group strengths and weaknesses and it supports the possibility to believe in your ability to influence the course of events, despite uncertainty, setbacks, and temporary failure.

In order to create impact through entrepreneurship, “self-awareness and self-efficacy” is a crucial starting point. To positively influence the present and future, it is necessary to be able to believe in, understand and reflect on yourself, on your and your team’s strengths and weaknesses to identify possible positive change that makes a better you while believing in your growing ability as a changemaker.

Teacher recommendations to develop learner capabilities: 

The Teacher may set up self, peer and group reflection processes and activities that spark learners to:

  • Identify and assess your individual and group strengths and weaknesses.
  • Reflect on their needs, aspirations and wants in the short, medium and long term.
  • Identify and assess their individual and group strengths and weaknesses, and track these as they develop.
